Christmas Party

  Our Wilrose centre celebrated our 2022 Christmas party with a disco day and pizza and Ice cream for lunch. We all had so much fun.

Christmas preparation

 On Wednesday I helped decorate a Christmas tree at Wilrose and made a Christmas card for a loved one

Trains

 I enjoyed seeing the miniature railway set up and having a go at making the trains go and stop at the station. Afterwards I got some fresh air on the strand and a look at the art gallerywith my friends. 

Foodbank

 I was a great helper at volunteer. I scooped frozen veggies into smaller bags then had to use the machine to seal them up. It was good to see Nikki the manager again. 

Socialising at Connect20

 I went to Connect20 this week at the Citz club and caught up with some friends! It was great to see them, I had a lot of fun!

Singing

 Sung my one of my favourite songs today! I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to do some singing again 

Halloween Disco and Hangi Lunch

 I had a mean time at the Wilrose Halloween Disco. We had decorations (that I helped make), lights and lots of cool music. I danced most of the day but stopped for a delicious Hangi Lunch of chicken, sausage, pumpkin, potato, Kumara and stuffing - it was yum! 

Basketball

 I enjoyed being back at Wilrose after some time at home with my Whanau. I was out on the basketball court at Gate Pa! 

Yoga

 I tried out some yoga moves at the centre today. My friend Matt was teaching us how to do them and what muscles they would stretch. I was very relaxed afterwards. 

Discos and Ducks

 I love spending time with my friends at Wilrose. We had a surprise disco day on Friday and I danced and sang all day! Today I went to enjoy a relaxing walk at McClarens Falls Park. My buddies and I spotted lots of ducks, even some baby ones. 

Laughing Yoga

 I went along to Laughing Yoga with some friends to check out what it is all about! It was sooooooooo funny! 

Connecting with Friends at Connect 20

 I met up with my good friend Christel (and others) at the Citz Club when I went to Connect 20.

I dance

 I stood in for a friend today and went along to the idance studios and joined in the dance fun. I did a warm up and then we learned a dance that involved some cool moves and dances like a snake. 

It’s all about ME!

 Each Monday morning we work on our personal books for the year, adding art work and photos. We listen to music whilst we are doing it and It’s also a good chance to catch up with each other about what we got up to on the weekend.

Out with discovery

 I had fun going to town to get some pamphlets of places we can explore. We went to the new Tauranga library and had a special tour through to show us the archives. After lunch I went to mitre 10 mega to get some seeds and soil. 

Connect 20 at the Citz Club

 I’m so happy to be going to the Connect 20 Social club again on Wednesdays at the Citz Club. I have a drink and meet up with old friends and make some new ones too. 

I won the Kindness Award

 Me and my friend Jason won the kindness award today for being so kind and helpful to all my friends at Arohanui. 

Ten Pin Bowling

 I had so much fun at Ten Pin Bowling. I got a strike and was so happy! We checked out the bumper cars and laser tag whilst we were there as we might go back for a go! 

Pool Tournament

 I had a fun pool tournament with my mates at the centre. Im pretty competitive so I whooped when I potted the black! Hooray!
