Recycling

For life skills today we took the recycling to the dump and cleaned the inside and outside of the van. I am such a good help!

Yatton Park

The sun was out so for Guys Group we went and explored in Yatton Park. I took some cool photos on the camera and laughed with my mates. 

Singing like a boss

Guys Group - Nerf

Today in Guys Group my friends and I had heaps of fun aiming for targets that we set up with the toy Nerf guns that Angie's son let us borrow. I laughed and cheered each time i had a turn. 

Hangi

I enjoyed our hangi fun day at the centre. I had a full puku after my yummy feed, the veggies were my favourite part. We all had a kanikani afterwards!

Cooking Ham Burgers

Today with my cooking group we made a delicious ham burger. Together we cooked the meat patties, cut up the salad and made our own burgers. They were very yum.

Fun with balls

Today we played basketball for sports we were hot in the sun but me and my friends had heaps of fun

Orchid show

I had a good time with my friends at the orchid show. There were lots of different types of orchids from all over the world.

Local park

We went on a community outing to the local park to make the most of the nice weather. I chilled out on the swing and had a nice walk about with my friends. 

Madonna

It was cool today as I sang an awesome Madonna song called Material Girl, it was fun!

Rock n roll dancing

I learned some rock n roll dancing in music this week. My friend Christel taught me some moves!

Today we cooked some cheese and bacon savoury muffins, and they were yum as, check it out!

Learning Samoan Dance

We had a really nice lady come to teach us how to do a Samoan dance. We learnt the steps then put them to music. It was really fun and I was right up the front so I had th best view of the steps.

Balloon volleyball

We played balloon volleyball in sports this week. It was raining outside! My team did really well to get the balloon over the net. It was lots of fun.

Baking scones

In cooking, we made scones and oh man did they smell good cooking! I helped add the ingredients and mix it all up ready to cut them in to shapes for the oven. When they were cooked we got to taste test one with jam and cream....yum yum!!

Scavenger hunt

Today we went on a scavenger hunt at memorial park. We had a big walk and were looking for rocks different coloured leaves and flowers.

I'm back ........

Yay! I've been away from the centre with my family for a while but today ........ I'm back! I made some chocolate biscuits in cooking - yum - and I enjoyed catching up with all my mates!

I belted out Whitney Houston’s I will always love you in music and dedicated it to my friend Christel who stood by my side supporting me! Everyone said it was beautiful! ❤️

Cooking fruit crumble.

I love cooking. We made a yummy rhubarb and apple crumble, with creamy as custard. I took some home with me and had it for supper, it was super yum!

Tutira mai nga iwi

In music this week I sang a good old Maori language song ……… Tutira mai nga iwi! Everyone joined in with me and had a sing along!

How many Donkeys?

TWe had a really fab visit to Olive, to check out her 13 Donkeys... Olive also has a huge dog called Frodo, he's so big you could put a saddle on him and call him Redrum lol

Sensory

I had fun in the sensory room. We felt the "cloud dough" and made shapes with it and then did a little meditation where we got to close our eyes, do deep breathing and ....... Chillax! Sweeeeeet!

Farm trip

Farm was super fun this week. I'm a great helper and I like spending time with all the different animals. The staff had trouble getting me to leave the horses to get back to the centre! I'm really good at looking out for my mates, especially Tui. I held the horse for her while she got to pay him. Cool ay!
