Yatton park

We went for a slow walk around Yatton park. It was super hot so we really liked chilling in the shade. I found some rocks that people had hidden! I like hanging with Nikorima, we are great mates.

Watering the garden

I do an awesome job of watering all the plants in our garden 

Helping out

I'm such a good helper at the centre. I always tidy up the tables after morning tea and lunch without being asked and like to lay the floor out for the van to park on at the end of the day!

Oropi Hot Pools

I had a nice swim in the hot pools, ate a yum burger and chips and had a drink. We explored the grounds too and found a cool swing.

Library and cafe visit

Me and the guys visited Tauranga Library and Robert Harris for a fancy afternoon tea!

Xmas tree

The volunteer group put the Xmas tree up at the centre this week. It looks mean! Ho ho ho!

Samba dancing

I helped research Brazilian dancing and singing in cultures this week and did a presentation of the dancing

Farm day

I like spending time with the horses and learning how to get them to trot!

Flowers

Angie bought in some gorgeous flowers called baby pinkies that are from the carnation family. I wanted to take them home because they smell super good!

 

Guys group at the shops

With the guys group we went to the lakes to check out the shops, the $2 shop has lots of silly dress up stuff! We bought a lava lamp and feather boas for the sensory room.

Busy week

What a busy week! I've been composting at the Bethlehem community gardens, I've been singing and dancing in my music session and we started back at swimming too! 

Historic village

I had a cool afternoon with the lads at the historic village browsing through the shops and looking at all the wicked art work in the incubator. I enjoy hanging out with my mates form the centre............

Playing pool

I had a good afternoon playing pool at the marble bar. I enjoy hanging out with the lads from Arohanui......

Guys group - sports!

Art

I started some new art work this week . It's going to have some really cool patterns on it that I've done. I can't wait to finish it so I can take it home to show everyone!

Talent quest

What a fun day at the Arohanui talent one took part singing, dancing comedy and I did a haka performance! Yeah! We had a mean BBQ and fish n chips too! 

Drama Play

I went to see the Drama Play this week to support my friends who have been practicing their parts for weeks. It was fun!

SPCA visit

I went to the Greerton SPCA with my friends from Arohanui. I was lucky enough to participate in the education centre there and spent the afternoon with Ali from the SPCA the animal education officer.....I also got to hold a cute foxy puppy.......

Men's group

We went to Greerton library for men's group. We got to have a turn on the iPads and then I found a spot the difference book that Was awesome! I liked it at the library.

Volunteer group

This week in volunteer group we collected a whole heap of rubbish that people had left behind at Yatton Park. Tidying up our community!

Life skills

I helped clean the van this morning in life skills. We did a good job and now it looks shiny and clean!

Shopping

I helped to go shopping at countdownNd purchase food for our Wilrose BBQ / disco.

Creative kitchen

I had lots of fun in our creative kitchen making green slime. It felt really strange!

Memorial Park

We visited Memorial Park and had a chat with Humpty Dumpty and had a stroll on the sand. 

Painting

I started a painting on canvas today - one of my goals for this year! I chose a bright green colour to get started.

The lakes

I went to see the ducks and wildlife at the lakes with the crew we even walked over a bridge and saw some saw some boats

Te Puna Trip

I enjoyed the morning at Te Puna Quarry Park especially the old digger
